Wednesday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a vocal supporter of President Donald J. Trump posted on Twitter his reaction of the impeachment hearings calling them a “proxy war” with Russia.
Democrats in DC are pushing for the impeachment of Trump over their differences on foreign policy matters, and have set out to destroy his presidency, claiming Trump does not have the authority to change foreign policy, which they are heavily invested in shaping.
Gaetz signals what will be the Republican defense of Trump:
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, who is at the center of the Democrat’s claims that Trump broke laws and carried out impeachable offenses against Ukraine, says Trump did not pressure him or do anything wrong.
Zelensky won as a political outsider is not an advocate of Russia, as past Ukraine presidents have been.
In fact, Vladimir Putin has contested the election that put Zelensky into office, complaining that Pro-Russian factions had problems during the Ukraine elections.
Ukraine has a long history of corruption in politics and with Pro-Russian forces in the region causing violence against the people.
Zelinsky is the leader of the Populist movement in Ukraine to end corruption in Ukraine, much of which is rooted with Pro-Russian leaders in Ukraine.
So Gaetz is right, this impeachment show trial does look like a proxy war with Russia and the Democrats and Establishment Republicans are the ones on the side of Russia.
The Democrats are contesting Trump’s foreign policy agenda of ending wars, for which he won the 2016 Presidential election.
Trump promised he would get America out of endless and needless wars, he kept his promise to the American people and DC bureaucrats are offended and upset.
