2024 RNC Convention

EDITORIAL: RNC 2024 – Baseless Attacks on the RNC by UK’s Emily Maitlis’ Presents a Distorted Liberal Narrative

Milwaukee, WI – (RNC 2024) – Emily Maitlis’ disparaging description of the Republican National Convention as “full of cranks and weirdos” is not just offensive; it is emblematic of the entrenched bias that permeates much of the mainstream media. As a proud delegate to this very convention, I am outraged by Maitlis’ baseless attacks, which only serve to polarize an already divided political landscape further.

To dismiss the passionate conservatives who gathered to support the future of our nation as “cranks” is not only an insult to those present but to the millions of Americans who share our values. Maitlis’ sneering reference to Laura Loomer as a “Katie Hopkins equivalent” is a deliberate attempt to undermine the legitimate concerns raised by conservative influencers.

Instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue, Maitlis and her ilk choose to belittle and ridicule. Katie Hopkins, incidentally, is a friend of Citizen Media News and is considered a Rebel Legend and consummate conservative warrior, so the comparison between her and Loomer is definitely a compliment.

You can view the ambush of Laura Loomer here: “Laura Loomer Denounces Biden’s Alleged ‘Bullseye’ Comment as Incitement at RNC” as CMN captured the interaction on video. As always, Laura is thoughtful and respectful as she answers the infallible questions by these obvious liberal left-wing operatives posing as reporters on the floor of the RNC, intent on getting ‘gotcha’ quotes.

Moreover, Maitlis’ cynical portrayal of the convention as a gathering of “people that most of the world has quietly forgotten about” is a gross misrepresentation. The truth is that these so-called “forgotten” individuals are the backbone of America—the hardworking citizens who have been ignored, taxed, violated, unlawfully prosecuted, and marginalized by the very elites that Maitlis represents.

Rudy Giuliani’s remarks about the erosion of the rule of law under Democratic leadership are not just opinions; they reflect the lived experience of many conservatives who have witnessed the weaponization of our justice system. The relentless persecution of President Trump and his supporters by a biased media and a politicized judiciary is a threat to the very democracy that Maitlis claims to defend.

Maitlis and her team claim that they are three of the “UK’s top journalists.” Her slanted viewpoint of what occurred at the RNC Convention is disingenuous, at the least. I wonder if she will report with the same malice at the DNC Convention when discussions of how no troops perished on Biden and Harris’s watch when, in fact, in this editor’s opinion, 13 service members were murdered during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

It is time for conservatives to push back against this kind of ideological slander. The RNC was not a gathering of “cranks and weirdos” but a celebration of American values and a commitment to restoring our nation’s greatness as well as the ideology of beliefs our founding fathers iterated in our Constitution. Maitlis and her fellow travelers in the liberal media can continue their smear campaigns, but they cannot silence the voices of patriots who stand for truth and justice.
