Borrowed some of this but wanted to share the thoughts …
Law enforcement does not need to be ‘defunded,’ ‘reimagined’ and ‘dismantled’
America is at a crossroads when it comes to our freedoms and safety and that is a reality that’s playing out in our communities of late. However, the radical idea to defund the police is not just unrealistic, but it would be devastating for every American of every color and background.
Yet, following the tragic death of George Floyd, the mainstream media, liberals, leading politicians of the Democrat party, and the anti-Trump deep staters refuse to condemn the radical movement to “Defund the Police.”
Americans must realize that this campaign is more than just a slogan; it is an effort to completely “dismantle” police departments across the nation. The law and our police do not need to be “reimagined,” and they definitely do not need to be “dismantled.”
This nation depends on our police to keep our communities safe. The tragic death of George Floyd must not be dishonored by cynical and opportunistic politicians and political activists.
This isn’t about race and prejudice. It is about law, order, and the safety of all people.
