Non-Profit Foundation to Hold Peaceful Protest to Honor Law Enforcement Officers
Washington, D.C., June 9, 2020—Join the MAC Foundation in supporting the We Back Blue
March to love, honor, encourage and support our law enforcement officers during this
pivotal time in our nation’s history.
Since March, our strength as individuals and as a nation has been tested, tried and found
seriously wanting; uncertainty reigns as Americans worry not only for their physical health
and safety but also for their personal, economic, and psychological well-being during the
unprecedented government reaction to the Covid-19 virus.
At a moment when the weight of concern and fear appeared to be lifting, the lethal use of
force that can never be justified or rectified rocked our nation and the world to its deepest
core.
As Americans who firmly believe that every life is valuable and precious, we stand against
injustice in all forms and seek to unite our community in solidarity for the right of the
individual to life and liberty.

Our law enforcement officers are on the front lines of this pandemic, the protests and riots,
the crime and illicit-drug wars, as well as handling the pressure of the economic turmoil
and instability affecting domestic relationships. During this turbulent season, our law
enforcement officers desperately require our support, encouragement, and gratitude for
their tireless, fearless, and never-ending work to protect and defend their communities.
